Are Brother HL Printers Cost Effective?

There are a wide range of models included in the Brother HL series of laser printers. These printers are boxy and standard looking in appearance, but they get the job done. They have built in LCD screens with easy to operate consoles and are simple enough to get up and running relatively quickly. They come as monochrome and colour printers and offer high quality output at high speeds. One example within this series of printers is the HL 7050 mono printer which has a reputation as being one of the lowest cost work group printers available on the market. Other examples include the HL-2035 and the HL-5240 which are monochrome laser printers and the HL-3040CN and the HL4570CDW series which are colour laser printers to name but a few.

The Brother HL series printers can print at speeds of up to 30 ppm depending on the model and duplex printing is available on most models meaning that you can increase productivity compared to some other printers. Increasing productivity while keeping costs low remain increases cost effectiveness. High quality printing from a relatively low cost printer with prices ranging from £60 to just over £500 for the top of the range work group model, these facts alone make these printers cost effective. Duplex printing also means that you can save money by using less paper, helping your bottom line as well as the environment. Flexible memory configurations, in addition to the duplex printing options mean that congestion can be minimised in a work group type situation and documents can be efficiently and quickly produced, and organised so that they can be collected with the minimum of fuss reducing time spent doing unnecessary tasks. This adds to productivity and hence cost effectiveness.

There are wireless models available. Connecting printers wirelessly enables you to set up so that a number of computers can print to the same printer, minimising the need for extra printers in the house or work space. Reduced printers also means reduced energy consumption, which again adds to cost effectiveness.

There is also an option to purchase high yield cartridges so that you get more prints per cartridge than usual, adding to the cost effectiveness of these printers. The consumables of these printers are low cost and easy to replace, which makes the printer more cost effective over its life time than many similar printers in the same class.

Most models are also T0C99 and energy star compliant, meaning that they consume less energy than a lot of other printers, again reducing running costs and adding to cost effectiveness. So the Brother HL printers, as well as being relatively inexpensive to buy, are also inexpensive to run, especially if you take advantage of the duplex printing option and use the high yield printer cartridges. All of these facts make this series of printers a cost effective choice for your printing needs.
